Ever felt overwhelmed and about to snap?

Hey Strivers,

The other day at around 8 pm, I realised my website was down. After several hours on the phone with an overseas call centre, I came close to a meltdown.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve taken on a little too much. It wasn’t the volume of work but the sheer number of new projects, clients, and workshops that spread my attention too thin.

Usually, when my stress levels rise, I step up my HEALTHY coping habits. But now and again, the old Chibs resurfaces and out come the UNHEALTHY habits. Over the last few weeks I’ve been going to bed later, getting up later, drinking a few more glasses of wine than usual, and not eating great.

If I had been relaxed, centred, and looking after myself I would have 100% dealt with my website in the morning, and would have slept like a baby.

But because I'd been stressed, everything felt urgent, it felt like my website being down for 12 hours would be a disaster, so I battled late into the night to get it back online. This made my night miserable, as well as the night of the poor tech support person who was helping me 🤣😅.

The following day, I realised it didn't matter at all if my website is down for a day, I wasn't seeing things right. So, I took that as a signal to reset. Lucky for me, my inner coach is strong, so there is no guilt or shame.

And it’s been a pleasure to hear Coach Chibs at work today, so I thought I’d share his words of wisdom with you 😊.

It’s important to remember that falling off the wagon isn’t the end of the world. We don’t beat ourselves up; we simply climb back on with kindness and focus.

That is why daily meditation is so valuable.

I spend a few minutes each day practising getting distracted and returning to the breath repeatedly. It’s the practice of getting lost in thought and gently and patiently guiding yourself back without beating yourself up.

And that’s what I’ve been doing this week—resetting, refocusing, avoiding self-criticism, prioritising my health and self-care, and bouncing back a little wiser.

Hopefully, you can do the same if (when?) you (inevitably?) fall off the wagon.

To help prevent stressful nights like mine, I’ve shared some powerful breathing techniques in my video below. These tools can keep you centred and proactive about your mental health, making you less vulnerable to those unexpected tech crises. Learn how you can stay calm and collected, even when everything seems to be falling apart!

Also, why don't you try my soothing vagus nerve meditation. It’s like giving your nervous system a day at the spa—perfect for those times when your stress levels are sky-high. Try it out and experience the immediate benefits; watch the video below.

See you next time for some more strategies to maintain peace and productivity, no matter what life throws your way.

Have a wonderful week everyone!
